Here's Where To Get A Free Oil Inspection in University Place

Local mechanics are participating in the "Don't Drip and Drive" program, which aims to help drivers diagnose and fix oil leaks in an effort to prevent petrochemicals from leaking into Puget Sound.

A number of local mechanics will give car owners a free visual oil leak inspection. If the mechanic finds a problem, they'll give you 10 percent off the cost to fix the leak up to a certain amount. The inspection and discount are good through the end of 2017.

The "Don't Drip and Drive" program is an effort by the group Puget Sound Starts Here, which is a consortium of local governments that's aiming to raise awareness about the Puget Sound ecosystem.
