HomeGoods Opening In University Place Next Week
The grand opening ceremony will feature a donation to the YWCA of Pierce County.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - A new HomeGoods store will open in University Place on March 4, according to the company. The store will be the only HomeGoods in Pierce County on the Tacoma side of the Narrows Bridge.
The grand opening ceremony starts at 7:45 a.m. at the store in the Green Firs Towne Center along Bridgeport Way. As part of the opening, company officials will give a $10,000 check to the YWCA of Pierce County to benefit a local domestic violence shelter.
The University Place HomeGoods will employ about 65 full and part-time positions. The store sells discounted home decor, toys, food, pet supplies, and more.

This is the ninth HomeGoods in Washington. The company is owned by he TJX Companies, Inc., which also runs Marshalls and TJ Maxx stores. There are more than 650 HomeGoods stores across the U.S.
