Ashley Jackson is competing to become Miss Washington, and she needs community support to accomplish her goals. The aspiring actress is planning a school supplies drive for the University Place Festival on Aug. 3 to give back to the UP community. While she is still talking with the festival organizers, she is optimistic that she'll be able to host it.
Passionate about arts awareness in schools as well, Jackson hopes her supplies drive will make school better for those “who may not be able to afford those items for the upcoming school year.”
