UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA — The first day of school for the University Place School District is Sept. 3 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you'll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP.

The University Place School District has released its 2019-2020 calendar for public schools. The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

  • Sept. 3: First day of school

  • Nov. 12-15: K-7 Conferences
  • Nov. 11: No School (Veterans Day)
  • Nov. 27: Half day
  • Nov. 28-29: No School - Thanksgiving Break

December

  • Dec. 20: Half day
  • Dec. 23-31: No School - Winter Break

January

  • Jan. 1-3: No School - Winter Break
  • Jan. 20: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
  • Jan. 27: No School

February

  • Feb. 14-17: No School - President's Day Holiday

April

  • April 6-10: No School - Spring Break

May

  • May 22: No School (Emergency Weather Make-Up Day if needed)
  • May 25: No School - Memorial Day

June

  • June 12: Last Day of School - Half Day
