Up to 3 inches of snow could fall in the Puget Sound area Saturday night into Sunday morning.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - With as much as 3 inches of snow forecast to fall tonight, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Puget Sound lowlands from Everett to Olympia. The advisory goes into effect at midnight and lasts until 8 a.m. Sunday.

The snow situation will be worse in the Cascades. Eight to 16 inches of snow is expected to fall in the Cascades of Pierce and Lewis counties between Saturday evening and Sunday night.
