Tacoma Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

A man was shot dead in Tacoma Wednesday night, and police want the public to come forward with information.

TACOMA, WA — The Tacoma Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 300 block of East 26th Street Wednesday night.

A release from the department says they were called to the area around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on a shots fired call. They arrived to find a man unresponsive on the ground.

Police began CPR and called Tacoma Fire Department medics, but the man died.

Detectives and forensics teams were called to the scene to investigate.

The victim's identity is unknown. Anybody with information is asked to call Tacoma police.
