Two Dead In Overnight Crash With Parked Car In Tacoma

South Park Avenue was closed for several hours after the crash.

TACOMA, WA — Two people died late Thursday after a driver struck a parked, killing both the person in the parked car and the driver, according to police and local media reports.

In a Tweet, Tacoma police said South Park Avenue between South 84th Street and South 90th Street was closed after the accident. The roadway reopened several hours later.

Q13 Fox reports two people were killed in the crash that occurred when a speeding car lost control, striking a parked car that someone was in.

According to the report, both the driver of the vehicle and the occupant in the parked car were killed. Another person in the parked car was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
