University Place Memorial Day Weekend Forecast: Cool, Sunny

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - If you're staying around Puget Sound this Memorial Day weekend, the weather will definitely be nice enough for a hike, a barbecue, or pretty much any outdoor activity.

The National Weather Service is predicting comfortable temperatures in the low 70s and high 60s, and the one chance for rain is isolated to Saturday morning only. Sunday and Monday will likely be the nicest days of the weekend, featuring sun and the warmest temperatures.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 68. North northeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. West northwest wind 9 to 15 mph becoming south after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67. Light and variable wind becoming west southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52.

Memorial Day: Sunny, with a high near 72.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52.
