University Place Strong Wind Event: Advisory Issued For Tuesday
Strong wind is forecast to push through the region before Tuesday's rush hour.
UNIVERSITY PLACE, WA - A strong wind event may down trees and knock out power in the region beginning early Tuesday morning, according to forecasts.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Puget Sound region between Edmonds and Lakewood. The advisory warns that local gusts could get as high as 55 MPH. The weather service says that the winds may be strong enough to snap limbs and cause power outages. There's also a driving danger because strong wind gusts can topple high-profile vehicles.
The wind advisory begins at 4 a.m. Tuesday and ends at 6 p.m.
