1 Dead In Woodinville Car Explosion, Detectives Investigate
King County detectives and firefighters were called to the scene of a car explosion on Woodinville-Redmond Road.
WOODINVILLE, WA — King County detectives and Woodinville firefighters were called to the scene of a car explosion Thursday morning, and soon discovered a body inside the vehicle, the sheriff's office said.
KCSO Deputies and Fire Dept on scene, 15500 BLK Woodinville Redmond RD NE in Woodinville for a car explosion/ fire. A deceased person has been located inside the vehicle. King County Major Crimes responding to investigate.

According to Woodinville Fire and Rescue, crews extinguished a fully-involved vehicle fire on the 15300 block of Woodinville-Redmond Road around 10:30 a.m.
A spokesman for the sheriff's office said he was working to learn more details about the incident as major crimes detectives continue to investigate. Photos shared on social media by Q13 News showed a bomb squad and ATF teams assisting in the investigation.

The sheriff's office tweeted Thursday afternoon that it was waiting for the medical examiner's office to remove the victim from the vehicle before detectives could investigate what caused the explosion.
