"Miss Carol" Woodinville Children's Librarian Retiring

 

Carol Fick, known to children who attend the popular story time events as "Miss Carol", and Lead Children's Librarian at the , is retiring on August 1, after 30 years with the King County Library System.

Carol was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Masters of Library Science degree. She has been a Children's Librarian since 1972, spending 3 years as an elementary school librarian, and almost 30 years with the King County Library System - 11 years at the White Center Library, and 18.5 years at the Woodinville Library.

Carol is well-known in the Woodinville community for her popular story times, and her incredible talent for displays. Library patrons and employees alike will miss her ready smile and helpful personality, both of which made her an extraordinary librarian.
