Bothell Bridge Closing Monday

The bridge over North Creek on 240th Street SE in Bothell will be closed to all traffic until Aug. 21.

Beginning Monday, July 23, 2012, and extending through Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, the bridge over North Creek on 240th Street SE in Bothell will be closed to all traffic.

This closure is necessary for the final completion of the bridge replacement project that began in July 2011. The new bridge was temporarily reopened to traffic in March while construction crews waited for July’s in-water construction window of the salmon bearing North Creek, sometimes referred to as the “fish window.”

Scheduled work includes removal of temporary supports from the creek bed, installation of bridge railings, completion of utility work, and permanent lane striping. The separate wooden pedestrian bridge over North Creek will remain open.
