Culvert Replacement Project to Close Road in Woodinville for Three Weeks

The project, which starts on Aug. 29, will close a section of 176th Avenue Northeast for three weeks.

The King County Road Services Division is scheduled to begin a three-week-long culvert replacement project on Aug. 29, with work completely closing a section of 176th Avenue Northeast just south of Northeast 195th Street.

During construction, traffic can instead travel on 168th Avenue Northeast to access Northeast 195th Street. Near the construction zone, flaggers will also funnel traffic on Northeast 195th Street into one lane Aug. 29 through Oct. 5.

Construction work includes digging a 72-foot-long trench across 176th Avenue Northeast to make room for a replacement box-style culvert. The trench will be 36 feet wide and 12 feet deep to make room for eight culvert sections, each weighing 13 tons.
