Have you ever had a conflict? Do you feel you have difficulty advocating for your child? Do you ever feel things are not going as you would like, but are unsure how to communicate effectively about it? As we start out the new school year, with both familiar and new teachers, schools and professionals in our children's lives, please join us to learn how to “Work Together Successfully”.
Our goal: to learn to advocate for what our children need through negotiating with others.
“Working Together Successfully”, developed specifically for people with disabilities, their family
members and service providers, is a highly interactive workshop which increases participants' skills and
levels of confidence in dealing with conflict and getting what they need through collaborative negotiations.
Presenter Dave Black is the general manager of Interchange Northwest, LLC, a provider of training and technical assistance in conflict management to governmental organizations, service providers, and individuals and families.
