History Mystery on Tap for Kids at Woodinville Library
The program on ancient writings is open for ages 9 and up (teens and adults welcome, too).
Are you curious about ancient times? Learn about hieroglyphs, cuneiform and other “lost” writing systems, and how breaking their codes revealed secrets about life in ancient Egypt and other long-ago civilizations.
How did today’s written languages and books develop? Lots of artifacts to examine, and each attendee will go home with a piece of real papyrus, a medieval initial to illuminate, and a wax cylinder seal they have carved themselves.
