Kenzi, Both Rambunctious and Lazy, This Pooch Needs a Home

Kenzi the dog's best human match would be someone who has some prior dog experience and possesses knowledge of strong breed dogs.

Are you looking for an active and well-mannered dog to add to your household? Meet Kenzi. This beautiful Pit Bull mix was rescued from a local area shelter, where she first resided as an unclaimed stray dog. That’s good news for someone else, because that means Kenzi now has the chance to be someone’s cherished pet! This exceptional two-year-old is looking for a home without cats or smaller animals, and would be a great match for passive male dogs. She is treated to regular kennel breaks and enjoys the company of her “brother” dog immensely.

Kenzi’s best human match would be someone who has some prior dog experience and possesses knowledge of strong breed dogs. Home ownership is preferred over rental situations. She’s ready to join forces with her new person to act as ambassadors for her breed and help change public perception of all the wonderful dogs like her. Properly socialized and well-trained Pit Bulls make great family pets! She can be somewhat timid initially and can roughhouse when playing, so we believe that kids over the age of 12 years old would be best for her.

Although Kenzi can be active and have plenty of energy at times, she can be surprisingly lazy in her home environment. Once her exercise needs are met, she enjoys cuddling and lounging around with her favorite person. She is crate trained, house trained, and loves to ride in the car. At 50 pounds, Kenzi knows a few commands and is really looking forward to learning more in the training classes that are included with her adoption.

Kenzi is an entertaining and personable dog who’s ready to be a loyal companion for many years to come. To meet her is to love her!
