Pet of the Week: Baby

Baby is a beautiful 9-year-old Shepherd/Lab mix. Sadly, this is her third time in life at a shelter waiting for her forever home. She found her way to from another local shelter after her owner decided to move and part ways with her. Now Baby is looking to find someone who will keep her forever, like she deserves.

With a positive attitude and a great doggie smile, she looks for her family to come find her. Baby does well with other dogs and cats. She also loves children of all ages and would make an ideal family dog. Baby adores being with people and has won our hearts! At 82 pounds, she needs to slim down a bit, but she’s looking forward to getting started on a healthy diet and a regular exercise routine.

Baby is truly a special dog who is looking to find her one and only. She’s ready to love unconditionally and assume her role as a cherished family pet. Please come to Homeward Pet to meet her and consider taking her home!

Like all cats and dogs available for adoption at Homeward Pet, Baby has been microchipped, but if you have a pet at home that hasn’t been, Homeward Pet Adoption Center is providing free pet microchipping between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., June 28 through Friday, July 1, while supplies last. Beginning July 5, Homeward Pet will offer microchips for just $20 (cash only) every Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., no appointment necessary.  All dogs and cats brought in for microchipping at Homeward Pet must be spayed or neutered.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter serving the Greater Seattle area. At Homeward Pet, we care for homeless animals from all over Washington state, whether surrendered by owners, transferred from other rescue organizations or removed from shelters that euthanize. For more than 20 years, staff, volunteers and supporters of Homeward Pet have given these animals a second chance through rescue, shelter and adoption programs.
