Is Washington A Good State For Families? New Study Says 'Maybe'
The state didn't rank among the best, but it wasn't among the worst, either.

WOODINVILLE, WA - A new study from the personal finance website WalletHub has ranked Washington a lukewarm No. 22 on a list of best states to raise a family.
Washington fell almost exactly in the middle of the 50 U.S. states measured on factors like education, health and safety, and family-friendly events. Washington scored poorly on "family fun," which includes factors like weather and attractions. The state also scored poorly on socioeconomic measurements, which includes factors like divorce rate and unemployment rate.
Washington, however, did score relatively well (No. 14) on affordability. North Dakota was the No. 1 state on the list; New Mexico came in last.
