WOODINVILLE, WA — City officials might close on the sale of the Woodinville Civic Campus property as soon next week. The sale comes after the City Council on April 2 approved a slate of agreements with the project developers.

The agreement with Woodinville Civic Campus Partners LLC would turn a block of low-rise office buildings — and the Woodinville Schoolhouse — into a campus of retail, apartments, and public space.

Woodinville could close on selling the property on April 17, although that's a soft date, according to city officials. The estimated start date for the project is May 1.

Once complete, the project could bring up to 275 new apartments downtown, plus a renovation and expansion of the recreation center, 20,000 square-feet of commercial space, and up to 30,000 square-feet of open space for festivals and other events.

Woodinville Civic Campus Partners, LLC, will pay $6.75 million for the property. But the city will contribute about $4.8 million toward the project, which is mostly for the reconstruction of the Carol Edwards Center.
