Woodinville Civic Campus Groundbreaking Ceremony Planned

The June 19 ceremony is scheduled to take place near Woodinville's Carol Edwards Center, and marks the next phase in the project.

WOODINVILLE, WA — A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for the anticipated Woodinville Civic Campus project, the city announced Tuesday. The event includes a welcome and project update, as well as an official groundbreaking ceremony and photos.

The ceremony will take place June 19 near the Carol Edwards Center location, starting at 8:30 a.m. Residents who attend the ceremony can view construction progress and participate in a handprint time capsule activity. Parking will be available south of the sports fields, and vehicles can access it from 131st Avenue.

City officials signed the development agreement for the Civic Campus project in May, calling for Woodinville Civic Campus Partners LLC to turn a block of low-rise office buildings — and the Woodinville Schoolhouse — into a campus of retail, apartments, and public space.
