Woodinville Firefighters Perform Roadside Baby Delivery

She couldn't wait until her mother got to the hospital, so Woodinville firefighters and medics brought her into the world.

WOODINVILLE, WA - An impatient but assuredly very cute baby girl was born Tuesday morning along a Woodinville Road with the help of local firefighters and medics, according to the fire department.

Just before 8 a.m., medics were transporting mom, dad, and grandma to Evergreen Hospital for the birth. But the baby decided to come early. So, the firefighters stopped the aid car near Northeast Woodinville-Duvall Road and Mink Road and helped bring the baby into the world.

Two medics and a firefighter from Station 35 in the Cottage Lake area were there with the mother, public information officer Catherine Breault said. After the delivery, the newly expanded family continued on to Evergreen Hospital.
