Woodinville's Biggest Summer Road Project Starts Soon

A nearly two-mile paving project along Northeast 171st Street is set to begin in late August.

WOODINVILLE, WA — The biggest Woodinville paving project of the summer is set to begin in August, according to city officials, with delays and lane reductions possible.

The Northeast 171st paving project will revamp 1.6 miles of road between 143rd Place Northeast and 164th Avenue Northeast. The project should begin by the third week of August and last through mid-September.

"Neighborhood residents and users of NE 171st Street should prepare for potential construction impacts. Driveways adjacent to the project may be inaccessible at times during construction hours. The contractor will notify residents whose driveways may be impacted at least five days prior to potential closures. The contractor plans to keep at least one lane open for the duration of the project, however some detours may be necessary," the city said in a Facebook post.
