“Given the challenges residents are facing due to COVID-19 it is great news for local families receiving SNAP benefits that they will soon be able to shop online for their groceries,” Zamarripa said in a statement. “Even after this pandemic has passed, this process should prove convenient and helpful for many working families.”

In a statement, Milwaukee Common Council President Cavalier Johnson thanked Zamarripa for her dedication to getting approval for online SNAP purchases in Wisconsin.
