Dan Veriotti Joins GZA's Expanding Great Lakes Coastal Engineering Practice as Vice President and Associate Principal

OAK BROOK, Ill.-- Dan Veriotti has joined GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA), a leading multi-disciplinary firm providing ecological, geotechnical, environmental, water, and construction management services, as Vice President and Associate Principal. Based in GZA’s suburban Chicago office in Oak Brook, Ill. Mr. Veriotti will oversee GZA’s expanding coastal engineering practice in the Great Lakes region, and further elevate GZA’s ongoing contributions and technical leadership in coastal resiliency engineering throughout the U.S.
Mr. Veriotti has more than 24 years of experience as project manager and lead engineer in site investigations, feasibility studies/master planning, environmental and ecosystem restoration, dredging, design development for civil infrastructure, wetlands, waterfronts, parks, marinas, harbors, shoreline protection design and water resources, as well as technical and structural analysis and construction administration. He has recently served as lead engineer for a $20 million resilient shoreline project on Lake Superior and for more than 100 solar installations in Illinois.

A licensed professional engineer in eight states—Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—Mr. Veriotti earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the Maritime University of Constanta in Romania and dual master’s degrees in coastal engineering and water quality/coastal hydraulics from the University of Michigan.
