SAUK COUNTY, WI — A dive team searched the Wisconsin River in the area of the Prairie Du Sac Dam Saturday after a 53-year-old man went underwater and did not resurface, officials said. The search was suspended until Sunday morning. Just after 10 a.m., officials said a body had been recovered.
Officials have not yet confirmed that the body is that of the missing father. Sauk County Sheriff's Office Lt. James Hodge told WMTV that details are not being released at this time.
Authorities said they were alerted that three children and two adults were struggling in the water in the area of the dam at 9:07 a.m. on Saturday, July.

The children had been swimming and had on life jackets but their parents became concerned they were too far out from shore, so they swam out to help bring them back, according to NBC15.
Although the children and the woman returned from the water, the 53-year-old man did not, according to the Sauk County Sheriff's Office, which did not identify the missing swimmer.
