Elementary Principal On Leave After Bringing Knife To School: Report
The principal showed the folding knife to a custodian, who reported it to the school district's administration.

RACINE, WI – An elementary school principal is on leave after police say she admitted to carrying a knife onto school grounds. According to a media report, Jefferson Lighthouse Elementary School Principal Heidi Williams had the knife for protection.
Williams apparently asked a custodian to escort her to her car, and she told him that she carries a knife because kids had threatened her, according to WISN-TV. The custodian reported his conversation to the district's administration, who contacted police.
When police questioned Williams, she asked for a lawyer and admitted she had the knife. The TV station reported that parents were notified of the incident on Monday.
