Man Drove Through Lambeau Field To Run Down Victim: Police

A man upset at a former coworker tried running him down in his car - and drove into Lambeau Field to do it, police said.

GREEN BAY, WI — Police in Green Bay say a disgruntled food service employee was responsible for the incident that happened Friday afternoon at Lambeau Field.

According to Green Bay police chief Andrew Smith, a 20-year-old man who was a food service employee who worked at Lambeau, became involved in a fight with a co-worker on Dec. 3, and was later fired in connection with that incident.

Smith said that the employee came to the police department just before 1 p.m. Friday to file a police report. When he left the Green Bay police department, he headed to Lambeau Field presumably to fight the same employee he had a fight with on Dec. 3.

He managed to bypass a security gate and managed to chase him into Lambeau Field itself before crashing his Trans-Am into a storage area inside. He did not make it to the playing field itself, Smith said.
