Wisconsin's 'Around The Corner With John McGivern,' Not Renewed
McGivern said Milwaukee PBS was "moving in another direction" with more "COVID-related programming."

WISCONSIN—Milwaukee PBS has decided not to renew John McGivern’s local travel show, “Around the Corner with John McGivern," according to a Washington County Insider story. Patch has reached out to Milwaukee PBS and John McGivern repeatedly but haven't heard back as of Tuesday morning.
McGivern posted a comment on social media, "I'll say it one last time...AROUND THE CORNER with John McGivern was the BEST job I ever had...so far."
In the PBS series, Emmy Award-winning actor John McGivern explores what it’s like to live, work and play in different communities in Wisconsin. He talks to employers, residents of different neighborhoods.

"What he finds is that they are all different – and all the same. John Gurda, local history expert, reveals the past of the featured community and maps out the boundaries so you’ll know where to go if you want to do your own exploring," according to McGivern's website.
McGivern did a live show at the Schauer Arts Center in Hartford over the weekend, and during the Q&A afterward, he revealed that the “Around the Corner”, which has run for nine seasons on PBS, had not been renewed, according to Washington County Insider.
