PHOTOS: See What 115 MPH Chase and Crash Looks Like; 5 Illinois Car Thieves Eluded Wisconsin Police
Racine County Sheriff's Deputies nearly caught one of the five drivers after they crashed, causing I-94 to shut down for 2 hours.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — As police continue to search in earnest for five Illinois car theft suspects, photos of one of the vehicles that crashed during a police pursuit were released to the public.
The vehicle recovered from the incident is a 2016 grey Infinity Q60 SUV. It sustained severe damage and is currently impounded by the Racine County Sheriff’s Office. Suspects that fled this vehicle were not located. The attached photos are of the crashed stolen 2016 Infinity.

Authorities are searching for the drivers of five stolen vehicles out of Illinois after they were spotted heading north in Racine County, and eluded police at speeds of up to 115 MPH.
Just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday, the Racine County Sheriff's office received notice from Kenosha Dispatch there were five vehicles speeding northbound on I-94. All five vehicles had Temporary Plates and were reported stolen out of Libertyville, IL.

Deputies responded to I-94. Multiple Deputies called out cars operating without lights at
high rates of speed. It was also reported that one of these vehicles passed on the shoulder.
A Deputy was able to get behind one of these vehicles which was going slower than the others. When the Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it accelerated rapidly beginning a pursuit. The pursuit started just south of Highway K.
Spike strips were deployed at Highway G which were struck by the fleeing vehicle. The fleeing vehicle continued a short distance then struck another vehicle. The fleeing vehicle then went into the ditch where two males ran from it.
After an extensive search the two males were unable to be located. They were described as 5’ 6’’ mid-teens with short dark hair one wearing a black hoodie the other wearing a blue hoodie.
The vehicle which was struck spun into the wall. There were two occupants in the vehicle. One complained of shoulder soreness but refused rescue.
The pursuit lasted 4.2 miles speeds were up to 115 mph. I-94 at Highway G was shut down for approximately 2 hours. At the time of the pursuit traffic was light.
The drivers of the other vehicles are at-large.
