Mount Pleasant Accepting Administrator Search Proposals

The Village of Mount Pleasant is now accepting Requests for Proposals from professional recruiting firms to help fill the vacant administrator position.

From the RFP:

The Village requests a proposal detailing the scope of work your firm would provide. It is the Village’s intent to qualify and select an experienced firm to recruit candidates for the Village Administrator position.

The Village is seeking a consultant with accompanying expertise in recruitment services. The ideal firm will have experience and expertise in executive searches in the public sector. Demonstrated experience and expertise in writing and presenting reports for local government officials is required, including development of findings, conclusions and recommendations.

A lump sum fee as well as fees for individual services/phases will be negotiated with the chosen consultant. It is anticipated that the contract will be a lump sum fee based on the services/phases chosen by the Village to be preformed by the firm, including expenses, with a not to exceed maximum amount. A cost proposal is required as part of the submission. During the final selection process, the Village will discuss a firm scope of work that will meet the Village’s objectives.

Schedule for the proposal and candidate decision:

  • May 29 - post/send RFP
  • June 19 - RFPs returned to the village
  • June 25 - evaluate proposals
  • TBD - Interviews with top candidates (maybe)
  • July 9 - Decision made
  • July 10 - Firm begins work
  • Oct. 10 - Work completes
