Armed Robbery Suspect At Large, Police Asking For Leads

A car full of people was approached by a man that demanded their money. When they didn't produce the items fast enough, the man shot his gun into the air.

Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that happened at 12:38 a.m. Wednesday morning at Lake Village Apartments, 430 3 Mile Road.

A man approached several people sitting in a car in the parking lot and demanded that they give him their money, according to a press release by the Caledonia Police Department.

“When the victims did not produce the demanded items fast enough, the suspect displayed a weapon and discharged a round into the air,” said Sgt. Brian Wall.

Taking the victims money and cell phones, the man fled the area on foot. However, police were not able to locate him.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 20 years of age, and 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a red bandana over his face.
