It's Back! Color Run Coming To Racine in September 2017

RACINE, WI — It was thought that The Color Run was skipping Racine, let alone the entire state of Wisconsin in 2017 — but Patch.com has learned that this is no longer the case.
Organizers of The Color Run have announced that ‘the Happiest 5K on the Planet’ is coming back to Pershing Park in Racine on Saturday, September 16, kicking off at 9:00 a.m.
The Racine event serves as the sole The Color Run event in Wisconsin.

This year marks the sixth year in a row of The Color Run being hosted in Racine. While The Color Run Dream Tour was not originally scheduled to make a stop in Racine, locals demanded the event return so the could continue the years-long tradition of attending with friends and family.
“People here were begging, pleading and crying for The Color Run to come back to Wisconsin,” says Cari Greving, events manager at Real Racine. “The community asked, The Color Run responded, and now the entire state will celebrate!”
The Color Run staff who attended previous events held in Racine were thrilled to coordinate yet another event for 2017.

“We’ve always loved Racine,” said Nick Pearson, event director at The Color Run, “and it turns out Racine loves us just as much!”

Each Color Runner receives a custom race kit, including a limited-edition Dream Tour race shirt, a Unicorn Finisher’s Medal, embroidered headband, fun temporary tattoos and a color-in runner’s bib—to inspire participants to decorate and color their runner’s bib. An option to upgrade race kits to receive additional gear is also available with the deluxe registration package. Participants can color it up with more accessories, clothing and fun dream inspired items at The Color Run store.
