Deputies Bust Mother-Daughter Crack-Dealing 'Team'
Authorities arrested a mother-daughter crack-dealing "team" involving a mother and her 17-year-old daughter.

RACINE COUNTY, WI -- Racine County Sheriff's deputies say they recovered crack cocaine, prescription medications and assorted paraphernalia after they arrested a mother-daughter crack-dealing "team" involving a mother and her 17-year-old daughter.
According to Sheriff's officials, on January 11 just before 2 p.m., agents from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit arrested two individuals at a local hotel in the city of Racine.
Located during the incident was 22 grams of crack cocaine, prescription medications, drug packaging material and a scale. An investigation provided information that a mother and daughter “team” were involved in the sale of crack cocaine.

Arrested and being held in the Racine County Jail are:

Marlena D. Banks Age 41 A resident of the city of Racine.

-2 counts, delivery of crack cocaine (within 1000 feet of a school)
-2 counts, keeper of a drug house
- 1 count, possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver 15-40 grams
- 1 count, possession of other drugs

Mikayla D. Brown Age 17 A resident of the city of Racine.
-3 counts, delivery of crack cocaine (within 1000 feet of a school)
-3 counts, keeper of a drug place
-1 count, possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver 15-40 grams
Brown, 17, is being held in the Racine County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond. Her mother, Banks, is also being held on the same bond amount. They both face multiple felony charges including, three counts of manufacturing and delivering cocaine, two counts of maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession with intent to deliver cocaine. If convicted of the maximum penalties associated with each felony charge, they could each face up to 33 years behind bars.
