Jellystone Park’s Christmas Carnival of Lights Opens this Holiday Season with Exciting, New Additions

Dazzling family tradition features new talking Christmas tree, sleigh rides, and more than 1.5 million lights

Caledonia, Wis. – Nov. 15, 2016 – Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort is thrilled to announce The Wisconsin Christmas Carnival of Lights in Southeastern Wisconsin is back this year with several new and exciting additions, and will be open Nov. 26 - Dec. 31. The light show features more than 1.5 million twinkling lights and spectacular holiday scenes displayed throughout an enchanting mile-long trail that families can enjoy from the comfort of their vehicles.

New this year is “Evy the Talking Christmas Tree,” a lovable, animatronic, 7-foot character who will talk and sing to visitors and spread Christmas cheer. “Evy” will be located inside Santa’s Workshop, where guests can also enjoy hot beverages and visit with Santa or write him a letter.

Also new this year is the option to view the lights while riding on Santa’s giant sleigh through the light show and be dazzled by new, colorful lights that are synchronized to music for a unique sensory experience.

“We’re excited for our visitors to experience this year’s Carnival of Lights, see the new additions and meet Evy, our favorite talking Christmas Tree,” said Bridget Bender, Jellystone’s general manager. “We are always thinking bigger and brighter, and looking for ways to expand our light show and bring new holiday experiences to our visitors. We can’t wait for families to enjoy the investments we have made this year.”

Jellystone is also pleased to announce that a portion of its proceeds will again go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin. Jellystone will donate $1 from each car that visits to Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin to support a “home away from home” mission the charity has for families of seriously ill or injured children.

The campground will also cover the entrance fee for approximately 100 carloads filled with existing and previous guests of the Ronald McDonald House. Several McDonalds locations in Oak Creek and Racine are offering discount coupons for the Carnival of Lights.
