Memorial Day 2017: Racine County Parades, Events and Times

RACINE, WI — Memorial Day is Monday, May 29, 2017. For some, Memorial Day may simply be a much-needed day off of work filled with family gatherings, an outdoor celebration or a chance to get that garden or landscaping work done.

But for all of us, Memorial Day is exactly that, a day set aside to honor the memories of friends, family and loved ones who lost their lives serving our country in the armed forces.

Racine Memorial Day Parade

Organized by the Racine Area Veterans Council, the Racine Memorial Day Parade steps off promptly at 10 a.m. at West Boulevard and Washington Avenue and will end with a memorial ceremony at Graceland Cemetery's Veterans Memorial, shortly after 11 a.m.

Veterans Memorial Cemetery

The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs invites everyone to this annual program for families of loved ones buried at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
