Racine Man Charged with Child Abuse and Felony Bail Jumping

Four felony bail jumping charges stemmed from a previous case, in which he was ordered no contact with victim's family

RACINE - A 30-year-old Racine man was arrested Friday for felony physical abuse of a child and four counts of felony bail jumping after a domestic incident in the 4100 block of Marquette Drive.

According to police reports, Anthony D. Mullins, of the 1700 block of Mead St., is dating the mother of the victim, who told him Monday the 7-year-old boy got in trouble at daycare, which sparked the assault, According to the boy, Mullins hit him seven times with the metal end of a belt, causing a rectangular-shaped mark on his cheek, redness and swelling below his eye, and multiple marks on his back.

The felony bail jumping charges are based on a previous case in which the defendant was charged. He was released from custody under the conditions he have no contact with his co-defendant, the boy's mother, or her family.

Mullins has a long history of arrests in Racine, Kenosha, and Outagamie counties, including possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, substantial battery, bail jumping, obstruction, and felon in possession of a firearm.
