2018 Winter Olympics: Nita Englund Ski Jump Schedule, Results

Wisconsin's Nita Englund hopes to make the leap to gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea as a ski jumper.

FLORENCE, WI — Nita Englund of Florence, Wis. is hoping to make the leap to Olympic gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

According to Team USA, Englund, 25, has posted the best U.S. results of anyone since the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014. She has experience in the World Cup and competed in her first World Championships in 2017.

"I always had an adventurous streak, and I fell in love with ski jumping when my siblings and I began building little jumps in the woods around our house," Englund saidin a recent media report. "It wasn't long before I started jumping on the local ski jumps that were a short drive away in Iron Mountain. Ski jumping started out as a little hobby when I was growing up, but over the years it became my passion."
