Bank Robbery Forces 2 Fox Point Schools on Lockdown

A bank robbery at a PNC Bank in Fox Point forced two schools into lock down Wednesday afternoon as police searched for the suspect.

FOX POINT, WI — A bank robbery at a PNC Bank in Fox Point forced two schools into lock down Wednesday afternoon as police searched for the suspect.

The Glendale Police Department is actively investigating a Bank Robbery at the PNC Bank Branch at 7001 N. Port Washington Rd.

According to police, the lone suspect entered the bank at approximately 11:30 am Wednesday morning and passed a note to a teller demanding money.

No weapon was displayed or implied. The investigation is on-going and further information will be made available when appropriate, according to officials.

According to a FOX6 News report Wednesday afternoon, Stormounth Elementary School and Bayside Middle School were put on lock down as a precaution.

Bus routes were suspended for Nicolet High School students living in Fox Point. Affected students were expected to make other transportation arrangements while staging in the school cafeteria after school hours.
