Bavarian Bierhaus Opens: 'Come Down and Drink Some Beer'

GLENDALE — The Bavarian Bierhaus, a sprawling new restaurant in Glendale which features a 15-barrel brewery, beer hall, dining room for 350, tap room and banquet hall opened to rave reviews this week.

The Bierhaus had long been known for its iconic traditional architecture back when it was the Bavarian Inn at 700 W. Lexington Blvd. in Glendale.

This German-style restaurant, according to a report by Urban Milwaukee, "will seat 350 people in the “European Style,” meaning that families and couples will share long, rectangular tables. There will be a Deutsche-flavored live band playing every evening and 2,000 barrels of house-brewed beer will be produced each year."

The Milwaukee Biz Times posted a photo gallery of the new Bierhaus to show off Milwaukee's newest restaurant.

According to Milwaukee NOW's Jeff Rumage, "The restaurant will also serve authentic German food and some American favorites. A house band will entertain crowds every night, and special acts will be brought in on Friday and Saturday nights."
