Bayside Now Accepting Registration For 5K Run/2 Mile Walk To Benefit MACC Fund

The fifth annual run/walk will have music, a bonfire, and food in support of fighting childhood cancer.

BAYSIDE - Bayside is now accepting registration for its 5th annual 5K run/walk and two-mile walk to benefit the MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) Fund.

The run/walk will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Ellsworth Park, 600 E. Ellsworth Lane, and winds through the Village of Bayside and the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. Strollers and dogs are welcome, and the run/walk also features music, food, a movie, and a bonfire following the race.

Early registration is $15 and being accepted now through Aug. 4. Regular registration is $25 from Aug. 5 to Sept. 8. Children five and younger are free. Registration includes a T-shirt, chip timing, race packet, free beer or soda, and post-race snacks. T-shirt and race packets aren't guaranteed for those registering after Aug. 4.

Bikes, roller blades, and other wheeled items (with the exception of strollers) are not allowed.

To register online visit here or download the form and drop it off at Bayside Village Hall. Registration online or in-person will be accepted through 4 p.m. race day and a table will set up near the finish line for last-minute registration.

Race packets and T-shirts can be picked up at Andare Sports, 8757 N. Port Washington Road, Fox Point, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 6 and 7, and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 8. Packets and T-shirts also can be picked up beginning at 5 p.m. near the start/finish line.
