THIENSVILLE - Acclaimed Himalayan resturant the cheel, 105 S. Main St., has listened to customer requests and is launching Saturday lunch service beginning at 11:30 a.m. April 8.
OnMilwaukee reports that the cheel will also roll out its spring menu on Monday, April 10, with dishes that include wild boar, rice crepes with goat and lamb, and goat meatballs.
The restaurant was founded by owners Barkha Limbu and Jesse Daily, inspired by the fresh flavors and ancient food preparation techniques of Nepal. The restaurant offers from-scratch "tidbits," small plates, traditional fare known as "bigbits," and American dishes with a Kathmandu flair like a BLT with Himalayan five-spice mayo and lamb burger.

The eatery's unique name translates to "the eagle," inspired by the many eagles soaring overhead when the owners, a husband and wife duo, were married in the Himalayan mountains.
