Milwaukee County Parks and Sprecher to Debut Traveling Beer Garden at Fox Point Next Week
The beer garden will hold an opening ceremony Wednesday with a keg tapping featuring Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and live music

FOX POINT -- Milwaukee County in partnership with Wisconsin mainstay Sprecher Brewing are rolling out the barrel all the way to Fox Point with a new Traveling Beer Garden at Doctor's Park, 1870 E. Fox Lane, with an opening ceremony starting Wednesday, Aug. 24.
The celebration includes a keg tapping from 4-8 p.m. by Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and Parks Director John Dargle Jr., with free beer and root beer while supplies last; live music at 9 p.m. by Vern & the Originals.
Milwaukee County beer gardens feature 10 on-tap Sprecher beers, including gluten-free beer and beer flights with five samples, as well as wine, food items, and other non-alcoholic Sprecher sodas. Sprecher sell the beer in souvenir glass pints and steins and you get to keep the glass, with refills offered at reduced prices at any Traveling Beer Garden.

The beer gardens also aim to be family-friendly, offering root beer floats and inviting attendees and families to bring their own picnic lunches and non-alcoholic beverages. License restrictions prohibit the carry-in of any alcohol.
The last beer is served at 9 p.m. and the beer garden closes at 10 p.m. The beer garden is open through Sept. 5.
