New Fox Point-Bayside School Board Members Weidner, Wick Sworn In

Newly elected Michael Weidner and Libby Wick joined the board, while Debbie Friberg was voted in as president of the board and Tim Melchert remained board vice president.

Michael Weidner and Libby Wick jumped into their new seats on the Fox Point-Bayside School Board after being sworn in Monday night.

Weidner and Wick won their seats during the April 2 election with 709 votes, or 31 percent, and 630 votes, or 27 percent, respectively over challengers Tom Hayssen and David Smulyan. 

With former School Board President Mike Weiss and member Eliz Greene not seeking re-election, Weidner and Wick took their spots on the board. School officials voted Debbie Friberg president of the board and Tim Melchert remained board vice president.
