Concerned someone was stranded on I-43, a Fox Point police officer followed footprints in the snow leading from the freeway, to find a couple safe, but intoxicated and underage. Police took the two — a 19-year-old woman and 20-year-old man — into custody Feb. 22 for underage drinking.

According to the police report:

An officer was traveling northbound in the 8500 block of North Port Washington Road when he saw a pair of footprints in the snow. Concerned someone was stranded and left the freeway looking for help, he followed the prints which led him to the River Point Shopping Center, near McDonalds.
