Robber Who Targeted Glendale, Whitefish Bay and Mequon Banks Arrested
A man who robbed banks in Glendale, Mequon and targeting one in Whitefish Bay has been arrested and charged following a high-speed chase.

GLENDALE, WI — A man accused of robbing banks in Glendale, Mequon and attempting one in Whitefish Bay has been arrested and charged following a high-speed chase in a Saturn.
Jonathan Rivera has been charged with robbery of a financial institution, fleeing an officer and second-degree recklessly endangering safety.

On May 3, 2017, Glendale police responded to PNC Bank , located at 7001 N Port Washington Rd. on a report of a bank robbery.
According to his criminal complaint, River approached the counter and slid the teller a note that read, “Give me the money, no ink dye, put it in an envelope.” The teller filled an envelope with $1,700 and gave it to the defendant, who left the bank.

Police developed a suspect list, and the teller reportedly positively identified Rivera as the individual who robbed the PNC bank.
Whitefish Bay Associated Bank Targeted
Police say that on May 8, 2017, Rivera attemped a similar robbery at 1:40 a.m. at the Associated Bank, located at 430 E Silver Spring Dr., in the Village of Whitefish Bay.
According to his criminal complaint, Rivera approached a teller and passed her a handwritten note. The note stated something to the effect of “$100s, no funny business, quick and fast.”
The teller stated she was unable to comply with the defendant’s demand since she did not have access to a cash drawer. Rivera then took the demand note and left the bank. Police reports indicate that the defendant fled the scene in a 2-door Saturn, the complaint stated.
Mequon BMO Harris Bank Robbed
About 30 minutes later on May 8, 2017, the BMO Harris Bank located in the City of Mequon, Ozaukee County, WI, was the subject of a bank robbery by a matching subject, the complaint stated.
Police say Rivera fled the scene in a matching Saturn, and after a high speed vehicle pursuit, he was arrested.
Rivera is out on a $50,000 cash bond. His next appearance in court is June 22.
