Woman Robbed Of Car By 14, 15-Year-Old Boys

Police say two Milwaukee teens, one 14 and the other 15, were arrested after the latest North Shore incident.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Police in Whitefish Bay and surrounding communities in the North Shore are reporting an increase in vehicle thefts, and are advising residents to report suspicious activity whenever it appears.

The North Shore's most recent incident came on Jan. 27 in Whitefish Bay, when a woman was robbed of her Mercedes in a back alley.

According to Whitefish Bay Police, officers responded to the 5300 block of N. Idlewild Ave. on a report of a robbery. Police told Patch.com that two black males wearing hoodies with their faces covered, approached a woman in her alley and ordered her to give them her keys. The boys were 14 and 15 years old, police said.

Police say the two boys fled the area southbound in the woman's Mercedes. A third black male in a Kia also appeared to be involved, police said. Both the Kia and Mercedes fled from Glendale Squads.

According to police, stop sticks used on the Mercedes to puncture the tires and disable the vehicle. Two boys fled from the disabled car near McGovern park. Police say they were tracked down, arrested, booked, and conveyed to Children's center on charges of robbery, operating a motor vehicle without the operator's consent and fleeing officers.

In addition to this incident, police in Whitefish Bay are also recommending that residents lock their vehicles when they're unattended - especially in the morning when many people leave their cars running in order to warm them up.
