Suspect Flees Scene Of Accident, Chase

The vehicle crashed at the intersection of Lake Drive and Brown Deer Road, and the driver fled the scene.

FOX POINT, WI — On the evening of Sep. 5, Whitefish Bay police officers were assisted by Fox Point police after authorities in Whitefish Bay attempted to stop the driver of a green Jeep for erratic driving on the 6000 block of N. Lake Drive.

The officer attempted the traffic stop only to have the vehicle flee the scene north. Fox Point police successfully deployed stop sticks to disable the vehicle, and the vehicle crashed at the intersection of Lake Drive and Brown Deer Road.

The driver fled the vehicle. A perimeter was set up with the assistance of Glendale, Bayside, Fox Point, Brown Deer police and Franklin's K9 unit.

The K-9 track was unsuccessful, however contact was made with the vehicle's rightful owner who confirmed that the vehicle had been recently stolen.
