Kate tirelessly works to help support her students with special needs, her family and every person she comes in contact with patience and love. 

Kate sponsors Best Buddies at Nicolet and is continually coming up with innovative ideas to help everyone grow in awareness about special needs students.
Her association with Robert Rinka at Nicolet as team teachers makes a "dream team."

Has the nominee's life been changed in an extraordinary way? 

As I worked with Kate in the Special Education department at Nicolet I became amazed at her capacity for giving. Her ability to empathizes with children, their families and her colleagues is phenomenal. I retired last year. Her sincerity and kindness will not be forgotten.

How does this person work to make others' lives better?

As a teacher, Kate inspires all the people she touches by her enthusiasm for her vocation. Kate is active in the community as well. One may think she knows everyone in Glendale! If you do not know Kate, it is time to meet her and be inspired!
