26 Unit Housing Development In The Works For Franklin
A housing development planned near Loomis and Ryan Roads will move on to its next planning step this week. It could create 26 condominiums.

FRANKLIN, WI — The Franklin Plan Commission will discuss the next step of a 26-unit housing development near the corner of Loomis and Ryan Roads at its meeting Thursday.
The developer proposed conjoining three parcels of land to allow for the creation of a condominium project. The survey maps, which could be approved at this week's meeting, show a 16 acre plot of land would be formed for eventual construction.
The project could construct 26 total condominiums. The units would be constructed as duplex buildings, each containing two condominiums.

The condominium project would be located at the 12000 block of West Loomis Road, according to city documents. Bear Development LLC and Boomtown LLC are undertaking the project, city documents said.
The development would be near the 116th Street Trail project, which is currently under construction, but it could obstruct the Ryan Creek Trail Project.

City documents state that it is likely that the Ryan Creek Trail could cross the development's plot of land, which will require new easements and restrictions, although the exact trail route has not been decided on.
The location could be the eventual connections spot between the 116th Street Trail and the Ryan Creek Trail, city documents said.
