Mayor Eric Genrich Comments On On WEDC $500,000 Grant

The project will "help unlock transformational change on Green Bay's waterfront."

January 5, 2021

“First, I want to acknowledge and thank Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach for partnering with the City of Green Bay as we each work to improve the economic and natural vitality of the port, the Fox River, and Greater Green Bay. WPS’s cooperation, Brown County’s investment, and the WEDC’s critical support for this project will all help unlock transformational change on Green Bay’s waterfront. Finally, I thank Governor Evers and Secretary Hughes for recognizing the value of the City and County’s efforts to expand port activity and relocate the coal piles away from our downtown, which will benefit the regional economy and dramatically improve the quality-of-life for area residents.
